Therapy in Illinois
In-person in Chicago’s River North neighborhood and
telehealth anywhere in the state
Therapy That Focuses
on You
Whether you prefer to meet in-person because you can’t find a quiet, safe room to meet or you enjoy the act of going to a place and having the separation, Rooted Mosaic Therapy has the space for folks in the Chicagoland area to feel at ease and grounded. For those that prefer the cozy comfort of their own home with their favorite weighted blanket or have a tight schedule and can’t find the time to go to an office, I understand and can work with you, too.
No matter what you choose, this is flexible. Folks can switch between in-person and telehealth depending on your week or specific needs. You can even switch from in-person to telehealth the day of your session.
-
I offer in-person sessions out of Chicago Minds’ location in River North, steps away from the Chicago & Franklin Brown Line stop. If you need a snack or a sparkling water, something to fidget with during sessions, the office has got you covered!
-
I offer telehealth sessions for folks across the whole state of Illinois. You can meet from anywhere, as long as you feel comfortable being as open as you hope to be in session, and are located within the state of Illinois.
Where to Start
Understanding the cost is a big part of starting counseling. I never want anyone I work with to be surprised. Taking a second to determine if you are able to use insurance or out-of-network benefits helps you estimate what to expect to pay for sessions. For folks looking to pay privately and not use insurance, it’s important that you know the fee for a standard session up-front.
-
I'm in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare/Optum (UHC). If you have a plan with one of these payors, that typically means a lower out-of-pocket cost. I encourage folks to check their benefits and specific plan by calling the number on the back of their card.
-
If I am out of your network, this does not mean that we cannot work together. For many folks, using out-of-network benefits leads to 60-80% reimbursement and makes finding the right counselor affordable and easier. You can use the tool on this page and it will provide you with details regarding your deductible and whether you qualify for reimbursement.
For those that prefer to handle seeking reimbursement on your own, I am happy to provide a superbill to you directly. Alternatively, I partner with Mentaya, a service that manages the superbill submission and coordination with insurance payors for you.
-
I understand that some folks prefer to pay for therapy privately and not use insurance. I use an equitable pricing model because I believe everyone should have access to mental health care. For more details on this model, you can go to my FAQs page.
